Short Description: Bank of India Credit Officer Recruitment 2025 Bank of India has released the official notification for the recruitment of Credit Officers in the General Banking Officer (GBO) stream for the recruitment year 2025–26. A total of 514 vacancies have been announced for MMGS-II, MMGS-III, and SMGS-IV scales across various categories including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and General.

The online application process will commence from 20 December 2025 and the last date to submit the application form is 05 January 2026. The relevant date for age, qualification, and experience eligibility is 01 November 2025. Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline with the prescribed minimum marks, along with relevant post-qualification work experience in credit-related areas such as MSME, commercial credit, project finance, or mid and large corporate credit. Additional professional qualifications like MBA/PGDBM (Banking/Finance), CA, CFA, or CMA are preferred as mentioned in the notification.

The selection process may include an online examination and/or personal interview, depending on the number of eligible applicants. The online exam consists of English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge. Selected candidates will be posted anywhere in India as per the Bank’s requirement and will receive salary and allowances as per the applicable pay scale.

Bank of India Credit Officer 2025 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the post of Credit Officer (GBO Stream) will be carried out through the following stages, as mentioned in the official notification:

Stage 1: Scrutiny of Applications

Applications will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, educational qualification, and work experience.
Candidates must upload all required documents at the time of online registration.

Stage 2: Online Examination (If Conducted)

The online exam will consist of the following sections:

English Language (Qualifying in nature)
Reasoning
Quantitative Aptitude
Professional Knowledge (relevant to the post)
Total Questions: 150
Total Marks: 150
Duration: 120 Minutes
Negative Marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer

Stage 3: Personal Interview

Candidates shortlisted from the online exam will be called for an interview.
Interview Marks: 100
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General / EWS: 50%
- SC / ST / OBC / PwBD: 45%

Final Selection

If both exam and interview are conducted, final merit will be prepared with 70:30 weightage (Online Exam : Interview).
If the online exam is not conducted, selection will be based only on interview performance.
