Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

For All Regions (Except Ladakh)

Male:

• Race: 5 km in 24 minutes

Female:

• Race: 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes

For Ladakh Region Candidates

Male:

• Race: 1.6 km in 7 minutes

Female:

• Race: 800 meters in 5 minutes

• No chest measurement for female candidates, but chest must be “well developed”.
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Important Notes

• If found pregnant, the candidate will be declared temporarily unfit and tested after the confinement period.

SSC GD Constable Bharti 2026 Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of the following stages:

1. Computer Based Examination (CBE)

• Objective-type exam with 80 questions.
• Subjects:
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning
  • General Knowledge & General Awareness
  • Elementary Mathematics
  • English/Hindi
• Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer.
• Examination conducted in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Candidates shortlisted from CBE appear for PET.
• Race Requirements:
  • Male: 5 km in 24 minutes
  • Female: 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes
  • Ladakh Region:
    • Male: 1.6 km in 7 minutes

3. Physical Standard Test (PST)

4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

• Domicile/PRC

• NCC certificate (if claimed)

DV is conducted along with DME.

• Based on normalized CBE marks + NCC bonus marks (if applicable).

How to Fill SSC GD Recruitment 2026 Exam Online Form

1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR)

• Visit the SSC official website: https://ssc.gov.in
• Create a new OTR, as the old OTR (ssc.nic.in) is not valid for this exam.
• OTR will be valid for all future SSC exams on the new website.

2. Start the Online Application Form

• After completing OTR, login and open the SSC GD 2026 Application Form.
• You may also apply through the ‘mySSC’ mobile app (Android).

3. Use Aadhaar-Based Authentication (Optional but Recommended)

• If you opt for Aadhaar Authentication:
  • Form will not be rejected due to photo/sign issues.
  • You won’t need to upload a photo or carry an ID at the CBE.

4. Capture Real-Time Photograph

• The system will ask you to take a live photo using your device camera.
• Ensure:
  • Plain background
  • No spectacles/cap/mask
  • Face fully visible within the frame

5. Upload Signature

• Upload scanned signature in JPEG, size 10–20 KB.
• Dimensions: 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm.

6. Fill All Required Details Carefully

• Category & Domicile details
• Force preference (BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, AR, SSF)
