Short Description: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 09/2025 for recruitment to various Level-1 posts under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix in Indian Railways. A total of 21,997 vacancies are notified across different Railway Zones. The initial pay is ₹18,000 per month, along with admissible allowances.
Online applications are invited from 31 January 2026 to 02 March 2026. The age limit for candidates is 18 to 33 years as on 01 January 2026, with applicable age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and other eligible categories as per rules. Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualifications for the respective posts on or before the closing date of application.
The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Negative marking of 1/3rd mark applies in CBT. Medical standards vary by post and are specified in the notification.
The application fee is ₹500 for General category candidates and ₹250 for SC/ST, Female, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Minorities, and EBC candidates, with fee refund applicable for candidates who appear in CBT. Applications must be submitted online only through the official RRB websites.
